Reports suggested that Ranbir opted out because his ex girlfriend Katrina Kaif was also part of the concert. However, SpotboyE.com has learnt that there’s more than what meets the eye.

Apparently, the concert organisers felt that Varun had more youth appeal. Furthermore, it’s believed, the organisers thought that Varun has more than enough popular songs to groove to during the concert. And that's how Varun came to be a part of the Dream Team concert.
